Description
This coffee table is crafted from Greek wild olive, a wood with nearly a millennium of history. The timber comes from 800–900 year old olive trees that were felled after the devastating 2018 fires in Greece. Instead of being lost, the logs were planked in Greece and shipped to South Africa, where they have been carefully hand-finished into a piece that celebrates both resilience and beauty.
The grain of wild olive is unlike any other — a striking interplay of golden hues and rich browns, highlighted by natural burn marks left by the fire. Each table is entirely unique, with live edges that preserve the raw character of the tree. Paired with sculptural slatted cylinder bases or a custom base design, this coffee table becomes a statement of craftsmanship, history, and renewal.
